BFIS’ mission is to provide information technology support to the administrative and corporate management functions of EVMS. BFIS maintains multiple servers supporting systems and applications that include but are not limited to:

• Cyborg Payroll
• Cyborg Human Resources
• Cyborg Budget Planning
• FASBE General Ledger
• FASBE Accounts Receivable
• FASBE Accounts Payable
• FASBE Grants Accounting
• FASBE Budget Control
• FASBE Accounting Treatment
• Reality Purchasing System
• OneSource Purchasing System
• Datawatch Monarch Reports Warehouse
• In-house Legacy Systems

Operations are staffed Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. and occasional weekends from 8:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The Director of BFIS reports to the Vice President of Administration and Finance and the Dean. 

Additional responsibilities of the Director include:

• Management responsibilities for the EVMS Network Information Center
• Management responsibilities for the EVMS Database Center
• Chair, Dean’s Information Technology Advisory Council (ITAC)
• Chair, Vice President for Administration and Finance’s Information Technology Management Team (ITMT)
• Security Officer, EVMS HIPAA Executive Committee
