EVMS Board of
Visitors
The
Board of Visitors is the governing body of Eastern Virginia Medical
School. Eleven of the 17 members of the Board of Visitors are
appointed by the cities of Chesapeake, Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk,
Portsmouth, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. The remaining six members are
appointed by the EVMS Foundation Board of Trustees.
Until further notice, Board and
committee/subcommittee meetings will be held at various locations
around campus. If a meeting location is not listed below, please
call the Office of the President, (757) 446-5200.
Schedule
The EVMS Board of Visitors
meets at 4 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month, as follows:

The Academic Affairs Committee meets at 4 p.m., as follows:

The Audit and Compliance Committee meets
when necessary in September/October, January, April and July.

The Executive Committee meets

The Facilities Committee meets
when necessary.
The Finance Committee
meets at 4:00 p.m., as follows:

The Honorary Degrees Committee
meets when necessary. The committee will meet January 20, 2009 at 4
p.m. in the Burroughs Board Room.
The Joint Conference Committee
meets at twice annually in May/June and November/December. A Joint
Conference Committee meeting will be held on December 9, 2008, at 2
p.m. in the President’s Conference Room.
Strategic Planning and
External Affairs Committee. Meeting dates will be set in the
spring of 2009 after the SCHEV process is concluded or called as
needed.
The Trusteeship Committee
meets when necessary.
